This program, with the exception of the pool operators course, will give you the certifications needed to be a lifeguard in a swimming pool environment. The pool operators course is something that you may or may not need, but first and foremost, you must complete the basic courses which are offered in our program. The first part of the lifeguard training class will be a screening session.

In order to continue in the program you must:

1. Be 15 years of age.

2. Swim 100 yards continuously, 50 yards must be front crawl, 50 yards must be front crawl with a rescue tube

3. Submerge and retrieve a diving brick, and swim with it one length of the pool.

4. Tread water for one minute, without using your hands.
